Piggy corn dogs

Since my younger son, Hal likes corn dogs, I made them for my sons' breakfast. (BTW, in Japan, corn dog is called "American-dog" ^^)
It'll be useful party recipes for my sons' birthday party.

次男、ハルがアメリカンドッグ大好きなので、ある日の朝食に作ってみました。息子たちの誕生日のパーティレシピにもよいかもしれません。

Bunnies Bento

Next year, in Chinese zodiac is hare. Every year, I use my bento photos for New Year's Card to my friends, so from now, I'll make several hare bentos for the card. 

Their ears are made from kamaboko fish cake. Use uncooked spaghetti to attach their ears.


来年の干支はウサギです。毎年お弁当の写真を利用して年賀状を作成しているのですが、これから来年用にいくつかウサギのお弁当を作ってみようと思っています。

耳はかまぼこです。調理前のパスタで耳を留めてあります。

Pigtail girls Bento

I made those girls by candy cookie cutter, same as Candy Bento. Combined two different sliced cheese.


BTW, in Japan, we call that hair-style "twin tails". I didn't know it's called "pigtails" in English ....I had believed that twin-tails was natural English expression for a long time.

Mastering English is sooo hard !!

以前に作ったキャンディー弁当と同じ型を利用しています。2種類のチーズを組み合わせて作りました。

ところで、この髪型は日本では"ツインテール”ですが、英語では"ピッグテイル”だそうです・・。ずっと"ツインテール”は英語だと思っていました。まだまだ修行が足りませぬ・・・・・・・・＞＜

I bought small candy cookie cutter at Kappbashi, Tokyo. I really love to go shopping at Kappabashi!! You can find a lot of cooking tools there. If you have a chance to visit to Asakusa in Tokyo, please visit to Kappabashi too!!

Sausage-Mouse Bento

Made them from tiny sausages. Make a slit almost halfway through the sausage.

小さなソーセージで作ったネズミ君です。
ソーセージのトップに切り込みを入れました。

Quail Egg Lion

The lion was made from boiled quail egg. Can you see it lion?
(Simmer quail egg for 10 minutes with curry powder soup)

ウズラの卵から作ったライオンくんですが、ライオンに見えるかな？
（ウズラの卵はカレースープで10分ほど煮ました）
