YOU might think that's simple, but it looks very challenging! My son just got a glimpse of your adorable penguins, and asked me to make some for his lunch, too! I'm guessing it's onigiri wrapped with nori, but the technique is beyond me. Would you mind doing a tutorial, or at least giving an explanation? Thanks!
I just watched your video, and realized the answer to my question is in your book...
Libby, thank for your comment. Please make this for your son! if you have any question about how to make the bento, please ask me:-) thanks!
Hi! I made some penguins this morning using the instructions in your new book. They were in the bottom layer of my panda-shaped bento box and looked so cute before I put the the top layer of the bento box on. But when I closed the bento box, they got squished. This happens to me a lot when I make animal-themed rice balls. How do you keep your animals from getting squished when you close the bento box? Is there another kind of box that I should use instead of the two-tiered kind? Thanks!
Hi Ebiniku, thanks for the comment and email. I think that you should use a bento box a lid is swelled(or rounded) Please choose the lunch box with enough gaps between a lunch box and covers;-)
Thanks so much -- I will try to find one like that! :)
